Eagles 37, Bills 34 in overtime | Result, highlights, and important statistics

At Lincoln Financial Field, the Buffalo Bills were defeated 37-34 in overtime by the Philadelphia Eagles in a thrilling game that featured numerous touchdowns.

With just over seven minutes left in the game, Josh Allen and the Bills took control after giving up a 10-point lead at the half. In less than two minutes, they successfully reduced the clock, and Allen’s quick slant to Gabe Davis in the end zone gave them the lead back.

Jake Elliott’s 59-yard field goal to force overtime tied the game for the Eagles after they were stopped on third-and-17 from their own 41-yard line.

After winning the toss, the ball was given to the Bills to begin the overtime session. On third-and-9, Allen connected with Gabe Davis for a first down and a 13-yard gain. Two plays later, with the Bills again facing a third-and-nine, Allen scrambled for a 15-yard gain to preserve their victory.

Tyler Bass’s 40-yard field goal gave the Bills a 34–30 lead.

Jalen Hurts ran it in for the game-winning touchdown eight plays later.

Allen finished with 339 passing yards, 81 rushing yards, an interception, and two touchdowns on the ground and one passing.

Allen became one of just two quarterbacks in NFL history to have four seasons with eight or more rushing touchdowns when he scored on a play in the second quarter, along with Cam Newton. Allen tied his single-season career high of nine touchdowns scored on the ground with his second one of the game.

Allen now leads the team in passing touchdown streaks with 20 games in a row. His eight games this season with a touchdown from both passing and rushing tie Kyler Murray’s record for second most all-time, set in 2020.

The Eagles haven’t allowed a second-half touchdown since Week 8 when the Bills scored 14 points in the second half.

On Sunday, Tyler Bass made all four of his extra point attempts despite going 1-3 on field goals. His 100th career field goal came from a 48-yard attempt in the second quarter. In Bills history, Bass has scored the fifth-most points.

Despite being limited to just four games with the Buffalo Bills, Rasul Douglas, a seven-year NFL veteran, played in his 100th game on Sunday.

Douglas had five tackles in total.
